Having to install Nvidia drivers while using an AMD video card

I was attempting to install the client launcher for this game, and I was asked to install Nvidia drivers. Thing is I use an AMD video card. Do I still have to install these drivers even though I am not a Nividia user? If so, why? If not, will there be a client released for AMD video card users, because at present I can't install the game without being forced to install drivers for a video card brand that I don't use.
