I'm not sure i understand this.

Did the direction of the game change from an MMO to an arena style single spawn pvp combat game? I though ashes was supposed to be an MMORPG Similar to Everquest or world of warcraft. Not some pubg or Counter Strike type game. What am i missing cause i really don't understand it. Each match we're dropped in with nothing and have to find weapons and kill in a last man standing kinda thing? That's not fun in any way shape or form for me, but i'd love some clarity on what happen to the MMORPG game that I thought this was supposed to be.

The current battle royale is something they threw together for the community. Its purpose is to test the action combat side of the eventual MMO. The project hasn't changed, its just to give us something to play test. The mmo is still like a year or maybe even 2 off
