Friend's name disappears in game

This has happened multiple times now. I think it happens mainly when I go to settings in game. When I close out of settings, my duo's name will be gone.

    This has happened to me in duo. When I loaded I was far away from my duo. However, when I got close enough for nameplates to be shown it did not show up for a solid 5 minutes or so. I think this is a problem with distances and nameplate rendering, there is probably a bug with the state keeping.
