Lunging against a hill has cause me lethal fall damage

So on three seperate scenarios I have lunged with a two handed weapon against a hill. Then I usually die instantly from fall damage. Its happened when I was lunging at an opponent and missed or got close and then the player kind of phantom hits me and I die.

I was trying to lunge at somebody and I hit a cliff then tried to attack again and just died from lethal fall damage. The three times its happened there has always been another player and the player swung but appeared to miss. This happened with a crimson blast from the staff once.

Expected results - Not die instantly from fall damage after lunging

Results - I died not fun :(

    If I had to guess itd prob have to do with something regarding player hit boxes colliding during a lunge or something like that
