Bots in BR like PUBG mobile?

Ok hear me out before burning me on a stake.

I used to have a very good experience playing PUBG Mobile back in the day where you had mix of bots and players in each match. You felt rewarded for killing some bots, sometimes players as well, and map felt far more populated thanks to this. You could at least learn to fight and know your gear while killing bots so you still gained some skill to later be able to stand against players. I know it would take a while and some developer resources to develop good AI for bots dedicated to battle-royale, but seeing how small the population is right now... we need maps to be more engaging with more people to fight against. I even wouldn't mind having 1 player vs 99 bots at some point to be treated as proving grounds before you play against players or a game mode of choice. This even might be beneficial for future Castle sieges and horde modes as well as I doubt we would have more people to play with.

I'm not a huge fan of BRs, I don't mind them, tho I want MMO far more. Playing against bots would be... kinda like playing against mobs in MMO? Not sure... just a food for thought. Apoc doesn't seem to gain traction even with sponsored streams and something needs to be done to make each match more fun instead of either dropping to hot zone or wasting time till the last circle.

Again - don't burn me on a stake for this proposition. I feel like Apoc won't go anywhere on saturated BR market. If they wanted only a combat test - no bots would be needed. But they obviously try to push it as standalone product. Killing some random bots among players might bring some more action for those few of us who play it.

What ya think?

EDIT: BTW, if Apoc keeps failing as it does, I wound't mind Intrepid refunding stuff from Apoc. Scrap the BR project and just launch actual tests for castle siege as a server and combat TEST to bring backers during weekends to push it hard and gain actual feedback. But I seriously doubt it happening.

The power of unpredictability is why people are necessary for this level of testing IMO.
Sure you can code a bot to mimic human actions but the mind of a person is chaotic.

Also as someone who played Blade and Soul's PVP arena, I don't like bots. After a while, the game feels less lived in and more calculated.

The castle sieges are the next step in Apocalypse. They are on the way.

While bots to fill out the population would be nice, I am glad that Intrepid is putting very little work into the BR and instead working on the MMO. Adding bots may take more time than it is worth.

Intrepid has not made clear how the castle sieges will be introduced. However, I would venture a guess that after the 12 weeks on the adventure path, the BR will be removed and castle sieges will be in. If I am right; or, if something similar is done, it is not worth the time for Intrepid to work on the BR when it will be rotated out in a matter of weeks anyway.
