Legendary item bloodlust

There are absolutely legendary items and they're not items that are attained easily nor are they granted out in a volume. There might even be items that are single items that will exist on the server at any given time.

What about a way to prevent Legendary item to be lost and forgotten by players who don't play any more ?

I thought of bloodlust to create a need to us those times. If you don't us it once at least every 20days it go back in the world.( just to allow you to take some vacation)
Don't know if there are mechanisms like this in games ...

    for a legendary item to be the only one on the server also depends on ppl going inactive yeah.. but if someone quits then that item is pretty much gone anyway right ? starting off where you left when coming back to the game is a good thing about mmo's imo makes it fun to revive old friends from the dead when a big war is about to start xD

    There is precedent in MMOs. Some MMOs don’t have instanced housing, instead your house takes up space somewhere on the world. To prevent abandoned accounts from permanently using up a spot there is maintenance you have to pay in-game to keep it. If you don’t play long enough you lose the spot and someone else can take it.

    Just do something similar here.

    Is having a single of an item in the game confirmed by intrepid? Bad idea imo, top guilds will try to prevent others from getting these and hoard them. competition will be extreme for an item if its really good enough, and it creates an imbalance between those who can get their hands on them and those who are stuck with regular gear. Allow players to be unique but don't confuse unique with a literal "one of a kind." Also, there would still have to be some sort of timeout, if said player never went inactive then they could theoretically hoard that item forever.

    I think it probably won't matter.
    Castles and metros will have to have access to relatively similar legendary weapons in terms of power.
    That's really the only kind of imbalance we have to worry about.

    Meaning, it would only really matter if someone had a legendary weapon that made it nigh impossible for a castle or metro to ever lose a siege.

    Also, like to be more about the prowess of the crafters who can make such items than the actual item itself.

    I feel that there must be a way to allow others play to get access to this content if a player stop using it .

    I think legendary item should be taken very seriously and not to be tampered with. For example if you find eye of vecna then don't put it in your eye its too dangerous.
