Multiple small guilds vs 1 large

There are specific buffs small guilds get instead of specializing in size. This way a 30 man guild might be as powerful as a 100 man guild of equal skill (we don't really know how it will work but I will assume)

This might create situations where large guilds split up in "Hero guild 1,2,3,4,5" instead of one large "hero guild". This might create problems in PvP or PvE.

Do you think this will be the case? Or will it be a problem? Can you find a solution?

It would take a lot more to organize a guild structured in that matter. Plus there is a limit to how many guilds can be in an alliance at one time. There is a good chance that it would be better for a bigger guild to ally with a few other larger guilds. THat way they got the most bang for their buck.

That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die.

If large guilds split up, the constituent parts inevitably drift apart from each other.

The guilds recruit new players in to that guild, rather than in to the larger community. As each constituent guild forms it's own identity, it relies less and less on the larger community, and makes decisions based on what the guild wants, rather than what the larger community wants.

I am in the exact opposite opinion of you guys. It seems a lot of people are seeing this as a bad idea. I think this is the best idea possible. Having specialized guilds that are a part of a bigger alliance or guild is amazing. Think of it as your team are the economic, military, spec ops, or farming specialists of the guild, focused on making money and accruing the resources needed to make larger actions happen.
This game is on the scale where not every player can do everything. It will take specialists in certain areas to accomplish things.
I can' wait to be a bard and a part of the espionage faction of the guild.

You will spend more time working with people in your specializations but you will also have bonds with members of the other specializations that you need to work with reguarly.
