What do you mean by veterans.

People who have been in the military?
    People who have survived war?
People who have played games for a long time?

Coming from EQ1, they only recently finally saw the light that their Veteran Rewards (longstanding accounts) were busted in terms of the power they granted so I hope this game doesn't go down that road. At most they should be the kind of stuff you would get from the in-game marketplace such as cosmetics.

Veteran rewards? Who are veterans? People that backed the game that didn't need to be backed? Lol! I mean..... I don't see any other way to be a veteran of a game "at launch" (your words).
Anything else you want? You want a server named after you? Would you like to have a node mayor position locked in for the first 6 months? How about a mount? You just let them know buddy.

I'm not a fan of any kind of system that gives players anything for free.

Assuming that is what the OP means by veteran rewards program, I'd rather not.

Not a bad thing if it's like ff14. X amount of days subbed = a cosmetic skin

What I am thinking of is exactly like FFXIV. If this game does well, and lasts for like 15 years like WoW a program like this would be awesome for people who were there at the start. It is a small thing but its small things in Customer Service that matter to players. Just my opinion.
