Trading houses?

Will this be a thing? Me and Jim-bob decide we are happy to trade houses, can we do a straight swap? Or do we just sell to each other for the same amount of Gold? Seems like there is a lot of trust required with that. I wouldn't want to sell first... and possibly end up homeless.

You would probably have to sell to each other. But since you cannot have more than 1 at a time, there may be a trade option (I hope so. It would make things easier).
  • I dont know how, but i know that people will find a way to abuse this to “hold“ houses for others...
  • I think this is the kind of situation that's generally better off not being in the game. Instead and i wonder what you guys think about it, problematic fringe situations like that should be done with DM mediation.

Like, you hit up the active DM (i hear there would be some) and make an appointment to have them moderate trading houses, or inconvenient things like that that would simply be too annoying to write into general game mechanics and have it not be broken somehow.

i'm thinking this world will be so big, and without fast travel, there will be a need to taverns and consignment merchants at freehold houses for trading. I'm really excited about this, personal trading from houses in Ultima Online I really loved, it made the Location of your home extremely valuable.
