Wondering about Crafting

I have done crafting in other MMOs and other games but I always find that after X hours, doing the same things over and over gets very boring even if there are enough items that I keep getting to make the next tier up. To me, they all end up being some kind of gather/buy X, Y, and Z and push a button, or two, to make an item(s). Why does crafting not change over the levels as combat does with fighting different kinds of mobs? To this point, I have a question about crafting in Ashes of Creation.
Will crafting in Ashes of Creation be something that you need to dynamically interact with during the crafting process to make an item(if successful = a good item or if messed up = a not as good/bad item)? Meaning, will there be any kind of 'Minigames' (hate calling them that) that a player has to do, which changes depending on the kind of crafting, and the needed actions are not the same every time.
