Class Ability

So as a mage player in other MMORPGs i feel like lerning new class ability is way to easy to achieve, i mean sometimes you just go to your class trainer and learn a new ability or as you level up you get a new skill point or just get a new ability every level, im gonna take the mage class as a example here, so mages are suposed to be this great sourceres very wise and intelligent beings aways in the search of knowledge, when you think of a mage it comes in your mind books and libraries, a suggestion that i have is, have especial ability where you have to complete quests to learn them, like you are send in a place where histories tell a great necromaner lived to search for a book of spells that he had to learn a new ability, or theres ruins of an old librarie where theres a specific book that you need to find to learn a new spell, really go trough the world history to improove your character. There must be a a way to bring that into the game, idk what you guys think.
