Artisan Questions

First off, I am new to forum reading and past questions regarding AoC and artisanry so humor me if I am bringing up already answered questions. From what I gather, this system resembled the Star Wars Galaxy model. I was one of the top three armorsmiths on my server in SWG. Being on the Empire side was great for business... don't judge. The process of becoming the best took time and meticulous dedication because the road from gathering to crafting a final product was insane so for anyone who missed SWG crafting, pay attention.

Grinding a crafting profession was like dragging your nails across a chalkboard while flogging yourself at the same time. It was a grueling, soul wrenching grind that required the patience of a saint.

Step Zero: Acquire some extractors which were made by the Architect class. They built everything from dwellings, guild halls, crafting stations, extractors and so on.

Step One: Manual surveying which meant getting on your bike and finding the materials you needed out in the wild. Back in the day, mats have four or so numerical values like different isotopes which determined its over all value.

Step Two: Once you found what you wanted or what was best for your crafting needs, you dropped extractors which ranged from small to large so you didn't have to manually scape together small amounts of your chosen resource. (Q1)

Step Three: Returning every few days to collect mats to use or sell.

Step Four: Farming or buying rare or looted materials.

Step Five: Profession specific component crafting

Step Six: Final product. Example a suit of armor and PSG, Personal Shield Generators.

The best crafters had crafting tapes in their crafting suits. These tapes were rare and cost millions to hundreds of millions of credits to buy. If you lacked guild ties, you would never get the max bonuses to craft within your sub class. This system separated the willy-nilly from the cream of the crop. The majority of MMO players focus on pvp and/or pve. They get ranking boards, titles, unique cosmetics, community respect and so on much like in WoW but those few like myself who love to craft have been largely forgotten and ignored. I admit I skipped several MMOs like Albion Online, Guild Wars, Eve and other such titles so forgive me if I missed a crafter heavy game. My hopes are that the available titles, reputations, cosmetic you can get in this game turn those few dedicated crafters in to sought out legends.

Q1: Will a rival guild be able to find and destroy its enemy's extractors or are they immune to all forms of damage?

Q2: I see processing as that annoying middleman who has the potential to jacks up prices for his services. Will there be material specific processors or will it be an all-in-one jack-of-all trades?

Q3: Apart from node level/type, food, crafting station/buffs/suit/house bonuses and mastery skill; What while separate the average crafter from the legends? RNG will has the potential to ruin true works of art.

Q4: How does the devs consider multi-boxing as not a pay to win feature? If someone could show me a person who can cook, vacuum the living room, clean the attic and mow the lawn all at the same time in real life, then and only then will my opinion be open to change. Why should one individual be able to do multiple tasks to make their life easier? Life isn't meant to be easy. You cant clone yourself so why should you be able to do it in a game for the sake of making it easy? Ask yourself, do you play the game for the challenge and to have fun or to get ahead and cheat your way to the top? That isn't skill, its p2w and it betrays the players and the player built economy.

Q5: Not about artisans but how close can two level five territory nodes be? Can a level four separate two level fives {5-4-5} or must they be further apart like {5-4-3-2-1-2-3-4-5} or even further apart {5-4-3-2-1-0-1-2-3-4-5}?

I will endeavor to find more questions pertaining to crafters for a better fleshed out point of view along with other player suggestions. Thank you to anyone who actually read all this.
