Profession as a quasionly play style

Ok, I know professions are gonna be hard af to master, being able to master only one. But I can't help to think of them also as a possible only play style. FE: a dude who enjoys so much ship building that only/mostly spends his time in the game focusing that.
I hope to be possible for the professions to be able to engage someone that hard and also taking that much time (in a good way) that the time everyone is trying hard to lvl up, even this dude takes even one month to master ship building and becomes the first one to master it in the entire server, making the big guilds to have to eat out of his hand if they want to be able to raid at the sea (asap, i mean).
Imagine it as a fantasy world where everyone is busy trying to kill dragons, he spends his life mastering the way of the ship building/smithing/animal husbandry/etc. A true master.
Will the game be able to give that to some players that don't like fighting?
Don't forget to drink water.
