The Openworld vs Instanced raids ratio? If any that is...

I have heard it mentioned once that 80% of PvE is openworld and 20% instances
I think Steven even explained that instanced are mostly related to story progression
For this reason I am confused its often mentioned in community that 20% of raids are instanced. There was never such info indicated... or was it? Someone can clarify this? It would be nice to have an option for entry level raiding to go instance instead of contested open world raids. At least for casual style guild. While the open world raids would have the more juicy loot in line with the "risk vs reward" policy of AoC

Yes, in some of the streams Steven said it was 80%-20% (and even in Lazy Peon's vid too, I think), and I don't think you can't go casual because that ratio, anyways, let's wait for someone who can answer you better.
"Instancing is only going to happen in certain dungeons where the desire is to have greater narrative appeal. Outside of these and arenas there will not be too much instancing anywhere else."
Open world raids are a system that you should learn to embrace. If you want instanced raids. There are other games designed around that. Catering to casuals has played its hand in many a failed MMO. That mentality has no place in a open world PvP game.
This is my personal feedback, shared to help the game thrive in its niche.
It will be, for sure, I remember Steven saying it (80-20), but idk in which stream, Asmongold's or Twitch Q&A.
I think the confusion comes from it keeps getting called PvX when what is, is PvP with some PvE sprinkles that are only there as a source of more things to pvp over.
The bosses and dungeons should be HARD enough to barely do it in PvE, if we allow people to fuck around and "share" dungeons for me it destroys the experience.
Some dungeons it's cool that they have open world, but the majority I would like to be instanced...
I have played ffxiv/ESO. You want to do challenging raids? Here you go.
You want to PvP in BGs? Here you go.
But that was THOSE games. AoC doesnt want to be THOSE games.
It should be obvious.
There's still gonna be content/raids for lower less hardcore guilds to take part in that are less appeasing to the big boys.
Wish people would just try the system out before getting scared off. The newer generation of gamers don't know any thing different than all the safety nets games today have. They might just like what Steven is cooking 😉

Alos out of curiosity:
Why do people consider instanced content casual?
I mean even if you are playing the game hardcore having a reliable farm spot you don't need to share with other hardcore players is a clear advantage.
I don't really see how this would be a feature that only casuals could take advantage of.
Nah... people who prefer instanced over open world are not always casuals. Everybody puts x amount of his time in what he enjoys.
Care Bear(s) or PvE player(s) is a term more commonly used for players that do not enjoy being contested in the open world MMOs.
It's non-instanced pve content that is a joke...it has to be or noone would ever clear it with hundreds of greifers around.
