Question about Enchanting Weapons / Items

Hey guys! Long time supporter of Ashes here, I've been following the game ever since I supported you guys in the original kickstarter campaign.
I recently watched the interview with TimtheTatman and one aspect of the game has me worried as I'm hugely against a pay to win model. I understand gaming is a business and you guys will model the game however you wish, but this will affect whether or not I personally play the game so it is very important to me.
I heard Mr. Sharif speak briefly on enchanting weapons to some arbitrary number, and the higher the number, the more risk. As well as a decay and destruction system. My question is this: Will there be a pay for item that saves the enchant from breaking or increases the chance for it to enhance? Is there going to be any cash shop item that affects weapon enchanting in any way?
I personally consider this extremely pay to win as I'm sure the higher your weapon enchant, the more damage you will be able to do and thus the more money you toss at the weapon, the faster you will achieve this and so at the beginning of the game, those who toss money will have huge advantages on PvE and PvP progression as they will be able to exchange money for enhancing their damage successfully and skip the risk vs reward aspect. I know a lot of games run this business model and I am really hoping Ashes of Creation is not going to be one of them.

I wouldn't go quite that far lol.
But Steven mentioned many times that he does not like pay2win, which he sees as anything that gives you an edge over other players, including convenience stuff like more bag space. Transactions that allow you access to more powerful items certainly falls under that as well.
Yeah lol this isn't oxfam but it aint ladbrokes either..
