Group Storage/Player-Caravans for Small Scale Export, Trader Cuts, Wholesaler Reputation.

What if players could form a business/brand/storage unit for storing items together ready to be sold/caravan’d. A joint-storage shed that can fuel small scale trading empires. Min. 2 ppl.
Items could be under a business 2nd hand title payouts on a basis of (RevenueFromItem : AmountContributedOfItem)

Adding the ability for joint caravans to be through a player caravan but not depending on the honor system. Players wouldn’t have to always caravan themselves or form an XL one but could take turns or lessen their profits for the possibility for more trading & export selling.

Trader’s could be cut in to transport their own goods alongside a business that’ll pay what they can agree to. Penalties for lost items. Cannot remove trade items until destination.

Marketplaces could have a seller name tied to the company.
Wholesalers can have reputation on servers.

Just spitballing ideas towards more depth with caravans past giving away items to traders or guildmates for a possible fair payment later.

Has this already been talked about? Could this just be a trader building for set destinations. Could this be added to a store or freehold?

I commented this alongside the personal brand idea but it’s a whole dif thing.

  • Depending on how exactly several people contribute towards a caravan, that might already be a thing, but unless it's open for testing, it's difficult to really theorize about anything.

In general, I think it's dangerous to automate too much though. Whenever I was in a guild in wow with a guild bank, people just put stuff in and took stuff out without ever really interacting with each other. That always felt like pretty hollow convenience. There's plenty of emergent complexity already if people just interact with each other and make contracts with each other, as long as the game system gets out of the way.
  • They already mentioned that multiple people can put their items into a caravan.

Hopefully it will have some payout system rather than honor system.
