So will there be a hard cap on how many towns or castles that one guild can own.
So that you do not have one guild or mega guild owning all or the majority of towns or castles.
With a hard cap I think that would help prevent zerging allowing for a lot more guilds having ownership and being able to create conflict pvp seige opportunities.
But when there are only a few megs guilds owning everything it seems most games die pretty quick.
Such as in last Oasis, and numerous other games.

They do own castles, but no cap has been discussed there. If they want to decrease zerging, your suggestion wouldn't do anything at all. They'd merely split themselves into
Zerg Guild A
Zerg Guild B
Zerg Guild C
If you want to inhibit the usefulness of Zergs, then you will have to prevent it in another way.
Some measures including,
the increase of the guild buffs mass guilds will miss out on and the ability to war dec. subsets of zergs through the guild war system, when they try to game the guild buff system by sub sectioning their zerg into multiple alliances in order to profit of the guild buffs.
I could see there being a cap for guilds to own castles, but maybe not an alliance. If a strong alliance is formed and gets extremely organized and takes over multiple castles it's up to the server to figure out how to deal with it. Personally I don't think there should be any caps.
