Low level and High Level team up? Questing/Dungeons

Hi all,

Sorry if I missed this. I struggled to find a good explanation for this and how this will work.

My question is, what will happen if a low level and a high-level plan to team up and quest together? Either helping a friend complete quests to have that play with friends experience or to power level a friend.

Q: If a low-level friend is doing quests and dungeons and I party up with them to join in and have fun and help complete. How will the experienced be handled? How will the monster difficulty be handled? I wouldn't want to one-shot them since that's lame and I wouldn't want to have my friend get zero experience.

The main reason I ask this is that I have friends that won't have time to play as much as me. But I still want to have the experience of gaming with them. I also don't want to create several alt characters. I am hoping for a system below.

EX: The high-level character is de-scaled so he can not just, one-shot the monsters. Also, the low-level character gets the same amount of XP as if he was being partied with any other level. But the high-level character experience gain would be negligible.
-Low level: normal damage to the monster, and gains a normal amount of XP
-high level: does normal damage to the monster and can't one-shot, and gains low amount to no XP.

If anyone has any forms they recommend that I can't read that already answered this please share and thank you!:)
