isnt embers meant to buy in game cosmetics? why cant i use my embers to buy the monthly cosmetics ?

    Because they're not usable yet. They're "in-game marketplace credits, NO P2W!", we're not yet in-game. They will be usable when the game goes live, but you can't use them to buy the monthly cosmetic sets.

    Um, warm your food?

    We were able to purchase cosmetics in Apocalypse. So, when that returns for castle sieges you may be able to use some then.
