PvX Combat concerns

We know much about karma / corruption system (L2!!) and flagging.
Also we know that melee weapons will do arc damage.
That leafs us with a possible problem.
Scenario: You are AoE farming solo or friends, guy comes to you and hits you once, because he is close to mobs you cant really attack them, because you will flag too and most likely killed, or just killed by mobs.

Or am I missing something?
