  • I'd assume when they worded it as "Weekly drawings" , there'd be a few hundred selected throughout the course of maybe 10+ weeks, and then when the Alpha is up all those would be invited?

It'd be nice to see how everything is at the start though, and how things work, to give early feedback and all. :P
  • Don't know why, but i have a good feeling regarding this game.

I don't mind throwing 30-40 bucks to get into the alpha ;)
  • Pre-ordering might give you that? Although there won't really be any news about special editions or whatnot for a while, I am sure.

I do wanna know what they mean with "weekly drawings" though, does it mean only a few people get selected each week, so they can try it out for a day or two, then next week they choose some other people?

Either that, or maybe the weekly drawings will be going on until the Alpha is up, so through out the weeks until its live, there'd be a decent amount of selected players to join it.
  • So they are giving out alpha keys now?
  • No, there is no alpha yet. Honestly, we stumbled upon this thing earlier than intended. I don't expect even the most avid supporters to even get into any type of pre-alpha for another 1-2 years.
  • 1 or 2 years for a pre-alpha? Judging by the small gameplay we got, give that a few months of work and it could be a pre-alpha.

I'd say a closed limited alpha could come next year, but they do not have that many people working on it.

Well, what we saw was just the enviroment and basic combat and gameplay. There was no info if the game is going to have quest system, dungeons, crafting and all the other gameplay aspects. From what i read the dev team formed like in the late 2015. I dont think they have finished or even prototyped the aspects i mentioned. But i may be wrong and they are super fast at developing :)
  • Well, pre-alpha could just literally be a small starting zone, with 1 class , 1 race, a quest or two. A full alpha could also just literally be 1 zone with a very small amount of stuff in it. Depends on when they actually want players to help test it.
  • I think it will be good for them just to flesh out the first goals they aim for.

What functionalities they want to implement and at least prototype it, then confront it with players feedback. I think they are now at the stage of designing stuff. Maybe it will be good to invite players for an active development, like the new fresh air in the industry. Developers and players developing the game we all want...ehh dreams...we all know players are whiny and always unhappy :D]

Also remember that the first impression is very important so if they want to show the game to the public, they need to at least polish it to some level. Ofc we all know its alpha and stuff, but You know if ppl pay money for the access (and i guess Youll be able to buy it through kikstarter) they feel entitled to have at least playable product if its accessible.
  • My bet is Alpha 1st quarter 2018. They have almost a year of development under their belt already.
  • Great question! Obviously we are still very early in production. Being less than a year in development, we are already ahead of schedule, due to the MMO dev veterans we have on our team. I can't give a solid date yet, and you didn't hear this from me, but last quarter of 2017 could be a target goal ?
  • Better to wait a year and get good pre-alpha than get it quickly and see how bugged it is. I hope your alpha will be better than this beta-like AAA PC production on their premiere.
  • That would depend on if it is actually going to be an Alpha, or just a marketing plan with pre-Alpha/Alpha/Beta1/Beta2/ .

A real Alpha? Maybe a year out. If the bulk of it is pretty much fleshed out and the whole cycle is for marketing and hype? 2nd Quarter of 2018. But it really is too early to tell about any of that from what I can see.
  • So many good MMOs coming out end of 2017-Early 2018... Gonna have to keep an eye on this one as well.
  • how do you register for teh alpha?

you cannot register for the alpha yet, but by signing up to the website you gain entry to the weekly key drawings giving you a chance at a Alpha Key.
