Stats and Stats on Gear

Is it too early to ask for what all the stats are gonna be in the game? I also would like to know what gear is going to have what stats. I don't have access to Alpha 1, but I would like to give my feedback as early as possible and I can't even begin to speculate without any information.

    I find that link has some information, but not much. If Power, Dexterity, Constitution are stats, what kind of gear has those stats?

    I would like to know what Intrepid is doing, they haven't been very open about the stats, and I want to start discussing them as part of the community.

    The sooner the community can discuss stats, the sooner we can start discussing builds. I have 2 particular builds in mind for the cleric, but I have no idea if it will work because I don't know what the stats are (one build is melee bruiser, one is ranged caster).

    You will have to wait for all of that. Testing phases aren’t for discussing builds. They are for testing. Not to mention that all your builds could be changed and reworked by release due to the nature of testing phases.

    Think of it as testing builds, since this is a build type game.

    I'm totally jazzed and excited as you are, but I think it's rather early to start planning builds around stats at the moment. Intrepid still needs to work on the fluidity of combat in general. The more refined, natural and pretty battle becomes; the more time that the Gods of Intrepid can begin working on the numbers-game.

    You can only test builds after they make it reliably into the full game. Did you ever hear about WoW Beta paladin? He was totally different then the release paladin, which was the reason, why he was so bad. They did a sudden shift in gameplay for him.

  • I think having a good idea of the skills trees of classes is more important for builds that stats. Once you know the synergy of skills you can better see what stats are relevant for the role of your character.

    You make a very good point here! We should see what the skill/ talent trees look like before going into builds.

    I hope the character stats come out the same time or shortly after the talent trees, as they do go hand-in-hand imo.
