Fortifying Strongholds/Freeholds

Should there be a way to replace and/or fortify parts of housing? As in insert gems into the walls to increase attributes such as internal space, population count, etc. Also, to be able to paint the walls and reinforce a castle's walls.

    well, your freehold can only be attacked if your node loses a siege so the best way to defend your home if to win the siege. Apart from mechanics, I would love to have walls around my freehold and maybe a bell tower

    It would be cool to have some sort of defense for guild hall freeholds.

    Honestly though, secret rooms never have a purpose :'(
