I stayed loyal to them throughout the life-span of the guild in question. And they're still in-game friends of mine. Fifteen years later. The point is, being a mentor is inherently unselfish, people who naturally gravitate towards such a thing tend to be good at it. Add something tangible to it. And you muddy the waters, possibly resulting in a worse experience for the trainee.
