Weapon attack particle effects

So I think I heard something about the potential for adjusting spell effect visuals in the game. For me, I really like spells looking impactful and don't mind them looking flashy, but for normal weapon attacks (for example, swiping a sword) I prefer it to look just like that. A sword swiping through the air with no extra sparkles.
Would it be possible for there to be an option for players to turn off dazzle spell effects for standard weapon attacks and for enemy attacks?
If a thread already exists for this, please point me in the right direction!
