Caravans by water

So, in the real world, transporting goods by riverine, littoral and ocean craft has been the more economical and easier methods as opposed to trundling overland. Will there be any provision in AoC for having caravans move by water as opposed to road?

It would be fun to raid shipborne caravans.

I think this is a really cool idea but I would prefer to have to raid caravans by land only. Water travel may be too easy to defend or deter players because of how difficult it may be to get into the fight. Especially by sea. You may be on to something via river travel.

Not all nodes will have rivers or sea access so there should still be plenty of land based caravans.

So on that wiki page it says that default naval caravans have a racial appearance. I take is that means the ones unlockable in game, and not the cosmetic skins from packs.

That's right. But, you should be able to override it with your cosmetic, if you have one.
