Note that I was watching the stream, I don't have access to the game at this time.
It looks like when the character interacts with NPCs, it just looks awkward. The NPC barely acknowledges the character's presence. It would be great if there were mouth movement, slight body movement and hand movement (all dependent per NPC) when a character is interacting with them.

A warning with poor timing. I have arrived by swift steed.

Doth ye knowest chivalry? What coat of arms bareth ye?
Preposterous! From whence did a babe utter the questions of a fool?
Art thou unawares of the status and setting of this here project?
Alpha One.
PRE Alpha One!
Tarry not. Have ye question removed to the farthest of lands.
For the name of AoC - may she rule forever protected from criticism!
No but, I did notice the NPCs currently rotate toward the people talking to them. (including the table HAHAHA)
Not sure what the go is with NPC behaviour, but it was confirmed on discord that they aren't pursuing deep voice-acting.
On the one hand, yes it's a work in progress.
On the other hand, it's totally valid to point out what needs more work. As long as you're not declaring that the game is garbage and the project will fail and the developers are incompetent and probably evil people that eat babies, it's worthwhile to share what you feel needs improvement, and how, and why.
Thank you for elaborating my acronym - sometimes I assume everyone knows what I mean.
I agree with your sentiments and with the potential issues. I often take the best and leave the worst. I tend to skip over darker criticism and promote lighter criticism. Sometimes, criticism is criticism though. I never mean to cause trouble but sometimes I like to throw the cat amongst the pigeons lol.
I mean,
at the minimum they approve of child labor orphanages.

One might argue that’s describing a typical dev team.
