Split race server

Can we get a server in each region where we have characters only able to begin the game at their own Divine Gate? With Tulnar starting at one of the openings to the underworld.

Doubtful, all the servers are just going to have a name and a region to my understanding. There won't be any PvE or RP server designations or anything.

Yeah, there are no plans at all for any alternate ruleset servers.

What do you see as the benefit?

The only thing I can see it helping would be role playing. Which I can understand, just do not think it will happen.

I don't really understand how it helps with roleplaying.
It's not a faction-war game, so the races aren't segregationist.
That's not the story the devs are crafting.

I agree with @Dygz here, I don't see any benefit to this kind of thing, even on a single server.

No benefit, just to see the races return to the world of Verra from the same portals they disappeared from. I think it'll be great to see more influence in buildings that suit the environment and lore specific interactions. e.g. Vek node with an observatory with the nearby crumpled star gazing towers of history. Synergy of the Old and the New.

Oh and said Kai'vek decendant could enter a nearby tower to retrieve an ancient star gazing tool.

Here's the thing... Intrepid's goal is to put out a number of servers that are identical, and then let us change the world. Think of it like giving blank canvasses to a bunch of artists and seeing what kind of artwork they come up with. It's more interesting to look at the different servers a year after release to see how different they are if they all started out exactly the same. I'm certainly intrigued.

That's going to be the case anyways. It just won't be 100% segregation.
We should expect Kaivek architecture at the Kaivek portal. There will be Kaivek specific lore.
But, some non-Kaivek player characters will choose that portal to start at.

Did the races all leave through separate portals? And, even so, there's no saying that the races wouldn't have spread across Sanctus and merged together during the thousands of years in between The Fall and The Return.

Well the tulnar never left so they wouldn't need a gateway

The dead do not squabble as this land’s rulers do. The dead have no desires, petty jealousies or ambitions. A world of the dead is a world at peace

Well, each race built its own portal and left through it. Also, arrived on Sanctus through the separate portals.
But... they weren't as segregationist thousands of years later when the portals reopened.
The first to return to Verra went through their ancestral portals and constructed the starting towns, well at least the majority of the first returnees did. And, that continues to be the trend.
