The appearance of endgame gear on characters

I've been attempting to a get an answer regarding the appearance of endgame gear in the last few live casts but nothing yet. I'm trying to find out if the Ashes team or Steven plan to give crafters the ability to create endgame gear that is subtle in appearance or will everything be required to look epic, shiny, over-sized or whatnot. Basically, I would love to know if you can have an endgame character in endgame crafted equipment that doesn't scream level 100 or whatever the endgame level is. Adds mystery to combat, etc.

I like this idea, and it seems favorable for all sorts of scenarios like the guards of a caravan or a lone player out exploring. There is an art to subtlety and masking one’s true power. I would be annoyed if my bounty hunter was wearing high-end gear that was a dead giveaway about my profession or intent as I stalk backroads and taverns...

From what we have seem of the general artistic style: most armor sets seem to be pretty realistic/practical.

Outside of cosmetics, we haven't seen any massive pauldrons with super epic looking elements. However we have no idea yet, and I imagine we'll definitely get at least some of those.

This being high fantasy, I would expect things to look like D&D art for classes would look like

Crafters are able to influence what their crafted items will look like.[3][7]
Most people never listen. They are just waiting on you to quit making noise so they can.

I definitely support this idea. It would be pretty great to have the option to roam in tattered rags if players have the option to put on awesome looking cosmetics at any level that covers up their current gear. Why not go both ways?
