The description for the new boat graphics has a line that gives the impression that owning the boat offers a distinct advantage over others who do not have it.

Naval Cosmetic Skin

Jutting from the surface for all to see, this striking vessel is rough-hewn, as if ripped from the very sea floor. Jagged angles sprout in all directions, yet the bow appears to pierce the water as if it were air. In combat, the garish color would seemingly make it an easy target - that is, if it didn't swim circles around any opponent that dared assail it.

This might need to be reworked since it has been made clear that this game is not a Pay-to-win kind of game. Just a friendly suggestion.

This is most likely a cosmetic for a speed focused boat. nothing p2w here.

That is probably talking about the type of boat that it is a skin for. I'm not sure of the exact skin you are referring to, but if it was like a skimmer boat or something then it would be faster than a big cannon carrying cruiser.

These skins are just skins after all, the only thing these change is what it looks like.

You're basically digging for anything to sling mud at the game if that's your argument. here. some quotes and sources.
