Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Music! to be able to buy / craft / find instruments like flutes / guitars / drums, to play differnt tunes with when you hold a ball to example: hire some players to you guild fun gathering to play music, when you walk with you caravan to have some people setting the tone as you adventure, assaulting cities / raid dungeons for motivation etc ^^
(much like the ones in LOTRO)

    I actually really like this idea. I wouldn't like to find any full instruments but what if they tied instruments into the artisan paths for us to create? Even if it was very basic instruments, it would be pretty cool. As toxic as the game Rust is, the musical system in there is VERY cool.

    With multiple people onboard with Intrepid that had also worked on Star Wars: Galaxies, yours truly is hoping for some functionality to the musical instruments, and maybe even a sub-game to master different instruments. At the moment, the Wiki only mentions Bards being able to play them:

    At the moment, I suspect that Bards will be the big "buff-class" of AoC, given that we already know they are intended for support and can cast some heals.

    If they're going to add playable musical instruments, I'd like them to be separate to the combat system, providing no buffs and just being "cosmetic". Having to listen to that same guitar strumming in ArcheAge was awful. ching-a-ching-a-chingching, ching-a-ching-a-chingching, ching-a-......

    If so, they could just add an option in the settings to specifically disable audio from (playable) instruments ;)

    I would rather have something like the jukebox from WoD tbh.

    You can find music sheets with background music in regions or from adds.
    You can then maybe give them to some NPCs that you get by building a specific building in your Freehold and they will then play the piece on a loop instead of the standard background music.
