Collections (Mounts, Pets, transmogs)

At WoW I love to collect things, especially mounts. And having a tab in the menu to manage the collection, makes it very easy and informative. A place to appreciate the ones that you have already achieved and the ones that are still missing.

Does anyone know if AoC will also have a collection management menu for mounts and pets?

Some people will say you can collect mount cosmetics. THIS IS A TRAP. The cosmetics are not there to be collected. They are there to reward support for the game. Do not see them as objects to be collected.

I would suggest reading this to get a better idea of what to expect.

Good point, but he never said that he is referring to the cash shop cosmetics only. There will be plenty of in game earnable cosmetics to collect and having a tab for all cosmetics would be really nice.

I just wanted to preface him with that point before he reads the WIKI to get a better idea of how mounts are indented to work.

Many completionism guys come here with mount collecting expectation that extends to cosmetics and have a hard time understanding the game.

Sure thing. I was just making sure that OP gets the full picture since what he is asking for can be very feasible if he is willing to understand that there are both in game earnable cosmetics and cash shop cosmetics and like you said, the cash shop cosmetics are not meant for collecting (for most of us).

That is incorrect in so many ways look at the link Vhaeyne posted

Mount cosmetics are one thing, but there will be rarities of mounts you have too breed with specific skill types and such so maybe, op didn’t understand the system to ask the correct question and maybe would like a list of rare mounts that can be obtained.

I was asking , i read what you post, one question, how they Will prevent that everyone use the best mount in class?

For example in Albion the mammoth is One of the most expensive and powerfull mounts , Only a small amount of people have, are just used for special events, like an important guild wars, a big trade group.. people don't use daily because they can Lost him in battle

What Will prevent for example in AOC everyone using the op mount daily for everything and stop being rare?

    Got ya,

Best mounts/losing mounts? Check this out:
    https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Royal_mounts

Otherwise I imagine the economics and logistics of the game will prevent everyone from having the best mount at all times.

The mounts are tamed/raised with this:

Yup i read about Royal mounts but in this case they are limited because they fly right?...

Yup the animal husbandry looks like Albion, and if you can't sink your mounts they Will always be duplicate right? That can be bad for the economy...

Maybe i m over thinking, but imagine we have an mammoth, with aoe absorve Shield, charge, earthquake that knock out every surranding player, if you don't have ways to sink mounts, at some point everyone Will be raiding an op mammoth like was an common horse...

I like the idea that mounts can be attacked, killed and can not be resurrected until the timer says so. Makes the player think about how and when to use their selected mount strategically.

Not particularly a fan that you can hide your mount type with transmogs via cosmetic skins though, especially if they will have abilities unique to their types. I personally would prefer if the skins were related to the mounts actual type or relevance.

I am assuming it is not like Pokémon where you can just keep summoning one after another, lol. that would be disastrous.

I have not heard anything from Intrepid about mount upkeep or ways to lose mounts in combat. Which is unfortunate in my opinion. I agree with you that it would be very important for the economy to have mounts be something that can be lost, but that seems to be a niche opinion around here.

There was a discussion a few months ago where we speculated on the economics of the animal husbandry system, but no real answers came of it. A lot of people in that thread were very bitchy about the idea of having to replace mounts. I could not find that thread. I don't even know if mounts where the main topic.

Even though I think it would be good for the game. I don't think mounts are going to be something that can be lost in Ashes. I wish I had more that speculation to give you.
