    With all of the features and systems they are cramming into Alpha 1 I would not be surprised if it takes them 6-9 months to roll out an Alpha 2 release. Not sure how much they will expand their crew after they get settled into their new digs, but it looks like there is a ton of work to go around.

    Also curious what their final down selection will be for features and systems for initial release. One factor is the resource cost across the team once they go live. I am sure they are balancing the stuff they’d like in the game versus the available resources post launch. And all that has to be weighed against the costs to delaying release if they want to try to squeeze in as much as they can before launch so that updates are less significant and easier to manage.

    On the plus side they appear to be doing some beta-esque things in Alpha 1 or at least getting a jump start on that. So betas should definitely be shorter, but I won’t hold my breath just for Murphy’s sake.
