Usefulness Summoners in Sieges

Do you believe that Summoners will prove to be crucial to any Siege/War, or do you believe their cost and effect the AI/Player controlled summon is redundant compared to an average player of a different class?

    I think the Golems will be game changers yes. Tanks might have to tank them and raids might have to focus them down. Depends on other class combinations though. Not sure what the rest of the classes will bring to the table. We know very little about Summoner but we do know 8 of them can summon a Golem.

    They can summon Golems, they are most likely one of the best classes for sieges.

    You know, it would be cool if summoners could preform a special channel action that periodically spawns a continuous stream of mobs that will assume the monster token AI to attack a castle or node.

    To soon to tell.
    Not enough information about them at this point maybe when we see how the class plays out closer to launch and then what the community figures out on how to play them the best. We can then make a much better informed decision on this.

    I would have to think the summoner group summons would be a key aspect of most siege strategies.

    I can see most people running a siege wanting several of these.

    However, it all depends on how things are balanced. It may well be that summoners and their summons are completely ineffective, and no one wants them. Or it may turn out that they are overpowered and that is the only class people want to play.

    In terms of what we know now, there is no reason to be concerned that any primary archetype wont be used in any given situation.
