How do I download the game?

This does not help me. I have discord. I have been verified. I go to the news section. It directly links me right back to the link above. Basically a circle over and over.

I bought Braver of Worlds and am trying to get into alpha 1. I followed all the instructions. I get to the part to verify my discord and a box pops up with two green check boxes and a comical grey check box. I click next and a big grey X pops up and says, "You need to verify your account in order to perform this action."

What am I missing?

If you have verified your email for your account
I would suggest getting on the discord and asking for some help on the questions section. A mod or staff member will probably be able to answer you faster there.
Not sure if Braver of Worlds need any additional step.

Discord said my account has already been verified. So, now what? your game will not let me go any further

Hi there friend - it sounds like you need to verify the email on your Discord account in order to chat in our Discord server, which is something you'll need to do on Discord directly!

In the meantime, you can check out our helpful test FAQ here on the forums for all the info you need on how to download and when to play.

If you go into the discord alpha-questions section and type !download there will be an URL to the executable but you can only install the launcher for the moment as the servers need to be up for the game to download.

As per step 5 of what you linked I just confirmed the URL is in the alpha-news pinned messages.

In discord, I do not see an "alpha-questions" section.

I do see a AOC news tab where Margaret Krohn has a post, but that is just a link back to the link I posted.

I see no download game link anywhere.

Then you have not properly linked your discord account to your forum account. You should see the instrucitons in the orange banner at top of this page.

If you dont see the alpha one section in discord then you missed something or connected to the wrong discord account, some people have suggested it creates a new discord account if something wrong is done. I would suggest unlinking and retrying the link ensuring the correct discord login is used.

If that fails then contact customer support.

It worked without a problem for me but I had logged into discord in the same browser in which case it picked up my current account when I clicked the login with discord button.

Go to the Discord
Type !a1info in #questions
Follow the 3 links it gives you

When you arrive on the forums you will see a big orange box if you have done the first 3 steps properly
If you do not see the big orange box, log out of the forums and back in
If you still do not see the orange box Control + F5

When you now see the orange box follow the instructions in said orange box
When linking your discord, make sure you link the proper discord (check the name and 4 digit number)

When you have linked your discord properly you will have roles on Discord of "Alpha 1" and/or "Adventurer"
Once you have those roles you will see the #alpha channels

In those channels types !download

This will give you access to the launcher
