Keybind Accessibility

the game looks amazing but going through the available keybind options i found there was no option to keybind turning left & right, personally i find this a huge accessibility issue as not everyone can use the mouse for turning well moving.

adding the ability to keybind turning left & right to the arrow keys would be huge QoL improvement as it would make the game more accessible for those who suffer with a physical disability.

most mmo such as star wars the old republic also have this as a available keybind, i only have the use of my right arm due to a physical disability so it be greatly appreciated

    It's Alpha One.
The design is for the UI and keybinds to be very customizable.
But that will be later in development than Alpha One.

that gives me bit of hope, iv tried new world beta and doesn't have keybind for turning so it just has me worried cuz i love mmo & it would be heartbreaking to find no keybind for it

Definitely good to mention key controls that would be helpful for you, to be sure the devs are aware of it.

from what iv seen of current keybind option. being able to keybind turning would help me greatly, for example left arrow key to turning left & the right arrow key turning right

atm there doesn't seem to be a option

you can see example in screenshot i linked

    Again...it's Alpha One.
    So, features are very rudimentary.

From what I've read and heard in streams, Steven is very sensitive to accessibility for gamers. I'm sure there will be a number of rounds to ensure folks will be able to play at parity across a number of different accessible conditions.

Resurrecting this thread from 3+ years ago.

After being "homeless" for most of this year after I stopped playing GW2 in January, with A2 coming up in a few weeks I wanted to stretch out my gaming muscles and prep with Throne and Liberty that just game out yesterday, however like the OP, T&L didn't have the ability to turn left and right in the keybinds, and unfortunately with my playstyle, it makes the game nearly unplayable.

I know Intrepid just put out the keybind image in the last week, however I don't see any option to TURN left/right, only to strafe. Do we know if TURNING will be an option and simply not part of the default keybinds, or will this not be a thing in AOC? I can't imagine them not including this as an option, but I would be beyond disappointed if they didn't.

I believe you can assume they will do this, there's no specific reason not to, and they're pretty receptive to making changes like this that don't really cause any balance issues, for people with specific problems, and those buttons aren't currently doing anything else.

There must be at least one of those NDA pre-Alpha-2 testers who would have brought this up by now if it wasn't done.

I agree and hope this is the case... we'll find out in a few weeks either way. Thanks!

If you watch the hotbars during the citadel of steel stream - some of them have their skills on 12345RVTGB instead of 1234567890.
Key binding is definitely in the game. Who knows to what extent, tho.
