Its not a suggestion did read thru the wiki https://de.ashesofcreation.wiki/Skins
but didnt saw it listed

i hope there will also be the possebility ingame to use gear as skin so that for example a legendary armor can have the apearens of a common armor by useing the armor pieces as skins directly

so the player doesnt have to wear the armor piece to have the skin itself but sill sticking to a restriction that plate can only use other plate armor as skin. on adding the skin to a armor piece the armor piece used as skin gets destroyed in the prozess. so players can wear their favorit skin nomatter what they actualy wear as armor. and also drives the economy a bit more.

This is for ether droped or crafted armor/weapons of the same type/kind that will get lost if used as skins on other armor/weapons

    Yep.
    https://ashesofcreation.wiki/Gear_appearance
    Appearance slots/Transmogs

Gear will have appearance slots (Transmutation/Transmog/cosmetic slots) that are used to copy the appearance of an item (in some cases).[17][18]

There are rules when applying cosmetics to specific items, unlike costumes, which don't have level restrictions.[19]
Cosmetic slots can be toggled on or off by the player.[20]
A "default player appearance" may be automatically applied during sieges or other large scale battles to improve client-side performance.[21][22]
Most people never listen. They are just waiting on you to quit making noise so they can.

would be nice if all attackers and all defenders uses the same gear apearance (maybe a unique one that only is visible in sieges) so that the actual gear is camoflaged. so that enemys cant tell from the view that this player is strong and this is weak.

but also the names and guild shouldnt be visible to the enemys kinda like faceing ha horde where all wear the same gear apearance (diffrent between types and race ofc) and no names over their heads. would make it more enjoyeble and also reduces traffic on the server side. maybe even with the option for players to hide playernames so they only see those of their groupe
