Some things that need change

I am totally aware that this is not a content play-test but still there are some things that i like to see changed for Alpha 2 onward.

Dungeon softlock
The Problem here is that there is a respawn point inside the Dungeon and if you decide to logout inside the Boss room or where the respawn is and you are no longer in raid you basically locked yourself up inside the Dungeon if you are low level or not a cleric.

AoE spell casting
As of right now when you want to cast an AoE spell you have to click the spell first then the circle pops up. Then you must move your mouse to the location you want to use the AoE spell and then click the button again? Just let me use the mouse click to place the AoE. Most of the time i don't even see where the cursor is because of all the flashy things.

Buff cooldowns
At the moment is not very clear when your buff runs out.

Maybe adding a timer with seconds or change some color values should do the trick

Quest rewards
Quest rewards should really just give you rewards for the level of the quest.
At one point I had like 12 Quest unclaimed quest rewards because they were all for level 12-15

Resurrection timer
Mentioned in another thread but still valid. The timer should just get removed. There is no reason to take away the players freedom to decide whether he wants to get auto resurrected to respawn or wait for res from another player.

    Dungeon Softlock - Easy fix is adding a recall/hearthstone, which I'm sure they'll probably implement at some point.

    AoE Spell Casting - Agreed, should be a toggle-able option though for people who prefer the old way.

    Buff Cooldowns - I'm all about the micro. Adding number text to buffs/debuffs would be immensely helpful, but if they were to decide not to do it I think progress bars would be another viable option for visibility. Especially for colorblind people.

    Quest Rewards - This is a tricky one, I think these quests were aimed mostly at just the alpha. With Ashes there we be multiple types of quests and events that pop up. So the variety will grow. I know that Ashes will not be linear in it's zones as far as levels go, but I do hope that I'm not going to be able to pick up level 50 quests at level 1. Have some sort of soft cap on it. Like if I'm level 1, I can still pick up level 8 quests. Which would still be ridiculously hard, but open up the world a little bit more.

    Resurrection Timer - I think they just implemented this for the alpha so they didn't have dead actors everywhere eating up resources.

    Good feedback overall though, I agree with a lot of it. :smile:

    Dungeon softlock - This is not an easy fix. I have made a few suggestions on different kinds of ways to get back home but it seems the majority don't want a hearth and simply want to hoof it back all the time. The amount of time we are going to waste just traveling will be staggering but it is what it is. Getting disconnected or needing to log immediately while in a dungeon or on a raid puts players into a "shame on you" for real life situations.

    Aoe spell casting - I like this idea and am sure we will see something like this. The issue becomes what is the system for aoe spells and using action combat. Reticle instead of a mouse icon. I don't know what to even suggest here. I am playing a tank and don't care how you squishy fools sling your spells haha.

    Buff cooldowns - Yes. I would like this to look better and I am sure it will.

    Quest rewards - I absolutely HATE seeing gear being given for quests right now. I hope this is a placeholder and that Intrepid heavily focuses on merging every aspect of this game with the crafting systems in place. All of these quest givers should not be holding onto random weapons and armor. It makes no sense to me. They should be holding onto vast amounts of materials that they can give out in exchange for services. Not only does this make quests more interesting as they can give varying materials based on difficulty and location but it also gives them the opportunity to make crafting an even stronger piece of the AoC puzzle.

    Resurrection timer - I can see the timer being removed as a good idea. However, I also see the flip side. PvP is a massive part of AoC. Putting the pressure on healers to rez quick or I have to walk back is a good thing. Last second rez saves during intense open world pvp will feel rewarding AF.
