Feedback on the "Q" auto-attack

RyveRyve Member, Alpha One, Alpha Two, Early Alpha Two
I don't mind the Q auto-attack system at all, in fact, I think it is overall great. I assume this is already planned, but I couldn't find any information on it, so I decided to post it here. Would be great to have tooltips that show the damage numbers for each chain in the auto-attack combo. Some weapons have a 3 chain combo, some have 5, but there is no feedback on what each chain in the combo does, other than the combat text. I think GW2 actually had a solid implementation of this with the "1" skill of each weapon essentially being the auto-attack and the tooltip showed what each step of the chain did, and it would update as you used it. Adding that would be an excellent addition to this.

I think it would be better if were a toggle for auto attacks. I can already see people autohotkeying it and I dont see the value in keeping a finger on q.

May as well be a toggle if they remove weapon combat and go with the split body whacking. Can add comments in there if you think of a way split body can be more interesting with auto-attacks. https://forums.ashesofcreation.com/discussion/50868/feedback-split-body-vs-root-motion-combat#latest

I dont mind Q, though would prefer a mouse button. Assume rebinding will be an option. It feels awkward at times then going to num-keys for skills, but again I think key re-binds would fix that.
Alpha One System for testing: Win10 64bit, Intel i9-9900k, GeForce RTX 2080Ti

hitting "Q" for every attack is NOT auto attack, it's action combat with the wrong hotkey. Q should be a toggle..

Hit the "z" key. that puts you into action combat mode which makes attack your left mouse
