[Bug] Intrepid Launcher - Updating client

Inteprid Launcher - Updating client

Description
The Inteprid launcher crashes after I have approved admin rights for updating. It starts updating but only gets to 1% in the middle bar.

Bug Reproduction Steps
My current verison is 0.2.125-29750. I try to update to the latest by logging in and giving admin rights. For some reason it shuts down.

Expected Result
I was expecting to get the latest version of the alpha.

Bug Report - Actual Result
It shuts down before really getting anywhere.

    I think I should mention that I didn't download the previous patch of the game so that might be the issue.

    I also want to mention, that I now uninstalled the game and it seems to be downloading just fine when trying after that.

    When starting AOC with the launcher (regular way then using the "launch as admin" when asked, or right clic then "start as admin" on the launcher app) the launcher start to show the downloading/installing bars, then the launcher shut off by itself.
    Only way found to patch and play is to use the installer and select deleet (repair doesn't change a thing) then install again... for many hours.

    If you're quick enough, you can hit the 'Restore' button (click 'No' when it asks to update) and it'll restore and patch to the latest as well.

    Heya friends - merged in a few different threads with the same issue here! As some others have noted above, there are a few different steps you can try if the launcher appears to immediately close after giving it admin rights for downloading:
    • Close your launcher, delete your .patcher folder, and try again (default location is Program Files > Intrepid Studios > AshesOfCreation)
    • Try to quickly hit "Restore" or "Repair" on the launcher before it closes
    • Do a fresh re-install of the launcher by removing it via Add/Remove programs and installing it again with the latest download link.
