Was great until pvp opened

I played the first week of beta and was having a great time. Played a huge amount on multiple characters. Then one day I logged in and was walking in the starting village and some guy killed me. I resurrected and ran back for my stuff and he killed me again, and again, and again and again. I logged off and quit the game. I hope the pvp system has some protections for players who do not focus on pvp.

    pvp was turned off for almost all of the alpha 1 test because the corruption system hasn't been fully implemented yet.

    Like said before, Corruption system was not in. This will give higher penalties to players who kill players who don't fight back. There will also be NPC guards to help fight players who try to grief in villages+.

    It was turned off, did you read what I wrote? If you played alpha 1 you'd know PvP flagging was turned off.

    First of all, I found it odd that you called it a beta? Second, you played multiple characters for a huge amount.....at the time where the servers were unplayable and they were working on rubberbanding issues? Players who were pvping were reported and yelled at or punished. I know, I was one of them. (but I swear I was only getting revenge kills LieutenantToast!).

    I hope the players who do not focus on pvp realize relatively quickly that they probably should focus on pvp. If not, I and many other will be enjoying their sweet sweet gathered items.
