Leveling up

We're early on in development and i dont know if what is working now is your intention later but here is my piece.
I dont like games that tie your stat points to other skills. When i level up, i like going to my character sheet and increasing my strength, or my intelligence, or my constitution. I like personally assigning these points. It makes reaching a level feel like you're growing as you see your numbers rise. Where leveling, throwing in a skill point, and being like, well my fireball lvl3 upped my wisdom, so i guess its part of a mana regen build.....
Give the players the blocks to make their character, not premade choices and combos to unlock
