Organization tools/managment details for the guilds
MybroViajero
Member, Alpha Two
The tools that some MMO give you to be able to organize your guild correctly, an event or a raid / war are details that are much appreciated in an MMO and give a more controlled environment.
Who has not had problems with the assistance of members in wars, in raids, in events? I think it is the most normal thing in the world to have these problems in an MMO but not because it is "normal" it should be accepted, rather for the sake of the MMO it should have tools to be able to organize a guild correctly, or any Important event.
I know very well that the ADDON system is frowned upon in AoC's vision, but if some tools were created to help organization and that these tools under no circumstances affect the gameplay or gaming experience, then we would be talking about tools that would help create a better environment in AoC.
For instance :
- Tools to have a list of assistances to wars.
-Tools to organize guild resources for the city.
-Tools to organize war strategies , pvp strategy, 1 vs 1, 3vs3 strategies, etc.
-Tools for raid strategies, world bosses, etc.
-Tools to send important messages, documents, letters, notices, etc.
-Tool for measurement of damage, (this is controversial but if we made it personal or eligible it could benefit in the analysis of the errors and successes when doing pvp or pve).
-Tools for organizing information such as recipes, item niches, market, etc.
-tools for the organization of the house, city, caravans.
-tools for mapping, writing , etc
-etc
https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/2506692-Guild-Tool-Mk-Ultra-Guild-Management-Spreadsheet
In summary, tools that can benefit the MMO environment without affecting the gameplay, speed, the game experience, I think these tools would be more beneficial for all types of players , and it would help the immersion of the game.
listen to your opinions for and against, have a good day

My only worry is that if the tools are lacking, many guilds will just use external tools to track things. Thus rendering these systems useless. Not saying that is going to happen, but if you have every really gotten into spreadsheeting. You know that Google Docs is pretty limiting compared to full Excel.
Any tools Intrepid makes would have to be more compelling than what can be done externally. Still, I love to see them.
This is my personal feedback, shared to help the game thrive in its niche.
In case that never happens though, I figured id chime in maybe to help some other GMs with some of these tools that are available.
If you are talking an interactive map, with realtime locations of players, squads, and similar - I know we in Legacy use one (its a police dispatching map we retrofitted to use for realtime gaming maps, basically just upload a world map/zone map and users can update their positions with clicking or Discord commands).
This is one of the only on the list I don't think there exists an open-source or free version tool for.
This can be done in any spreadsheet. I would recommend Guild Leaders take this a step further by integrating Discord into it (not that hard if you're willing) and allow for Discord commands on updating the sheet remotely or via mobile. Example: +500 wood "location" @player. You would need to host your own bot, but there are many youtube videos on how to do that simply.
For this I recommend https://www.miro.com . It is an interactive whiteboard that allows exporting options (on free plan) to a number of things. If you are a fan of IFTTT you can take it a few steps further. Give it a try imo.
Same as above. Miro supports video/realtime events so you can show an interactive presentation.
Ah the fun stuff. For this I recommend looking into a mobile app/push alert system that syncs up with your own scheduler. While you can use Office scheduling, I recommend Google's environment as it's easier to manage with Discord's API.
For us its -> send alert -> phones go off (if allowed). Obviously simply pinging Discord works too, but im doubtful the majority of any guild would follow all pings/read them.
So long as floating combat text exists, you can capture it and export a DPS meter. The easiest way (for beginners) to do this would be a AHK script that specifies a pixel location XY rectangular area - say the combat log, and snippets it once every .25 seconds or more (depending on processor). We have made scripts that are adjustable as to not kill someones computer. Using these snippets at 5-10 pictures per second, you can then route them through a simple "AI" script that reads the text, then exports an average DPS in a simple window. After that its just about making it look pretty.
I'd link ours we've used for some games that didnt have DPS bars, like GW2, but I'd probably get into a ton of trouble here. Keep in mind there are other scrapers out there, AHK is just a free option.
We've made spreadsheets with algorithms like this before. This was one we used for BDO and ended up selling as a service: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZwJ6RxuNy_MdCbWzjgrSE3MeP9NvxjTBs4AAb_fV2BA/edit?usp=sharing
I don't think anything really does it more efficiently than a good spreadsheet. We've tried logistics programs, inventory programs etc, SQL database even - all werent as easy to setup and keep updated (with a varying team) as Google.
Think this is covered above.
Covered above.
The only issue I have with this spreadsheet is the manual input. Were in 2021 and its far easier now to export Discord's API to create custom modular spreadsheets that adapt and change based on your Discord activity. You can even add things like Teamspeak 5 functionality now and have many platforms updating and flowing with single changes in any layer. For example if I want to add a member to "raid 2" I can simply type a command that changes the sheet, while in Discord. On the opposite end - when I accept someone's application in Google sheets, the bot auto-tracks various flags and gives them custom access in Discord, and even changes it if we change the sheets. Or if I type someone's name in "raid 2" for the spreadsheet, it automatically notifies them on Discord and changes roles if needed.
That sheet certainly looks pretty though! Reminds me of certain other guilds who make highly-presentable sheets. Great-looking spreadsheets are fun, and many guilds have "tools", but getting the entire ecosystem working < together > - now that's the fun part that can set any guild many tiers above the rest.
That and an anime channel of course
Hope this got your mind moving a bit on tools.

holly $! "$ %% bro, that's incredible, incredible work, my respects and congratulations
Query, have you ever heard the name of Starknekkid ?
Edit : https://www.lgcguild.com/
I will put aside any form of pride or thought that limits me.
Definitely the work you have done is unique, too much passion, I can feel it.
Thank you very much for all your effort.
I thought I was a very try hard player but I definitely have a long way to go.
Thank you very much, I see new limits and I will strive to overcome them.
Thank you very much
Yes, that is also my fear, but the truth is, having these options within the game improves the atmosphere of the game, gives a feeling of control and care to the MMO environment, that I always felt every time I made my statistical tables, PPts or documents to guilds in other MMOs.
Of course, if it is not a lot of work for Intrepit, we are not going to ask them to create things that could affect them later, with which we have tools that help us in one or another organization would be enough, and then if the opportunity could evolve to better tools
No problem. Glad it got your mind moving on ideas.
