In-Game Notes - Discussion

I want to propose a Notes tab in the game.
Legit like a small notebook you would have where you can write whatever you want. Maybe you found a really nice fishing place you want to return to, so you write down the coordinates.
Or you are in charge of your guild's crafting supplies and you want to write down who donated what.
I know most people use like a word document for this, but tbh, it would be better if it was in game. There can be some mechanics added as well, sharing your notes with other players or something.
Maybe we can make different "chapters" like "mining, questing, fishing" etc, and you share your mining notes with a friend or maybe you made notes regarding a dungeon or a boss when you fought them at lvl 20. Now you are level 50 and your friend is 20. You can't help them do it, but you can give them notes you have, helping them out.
I know there are tutorials, but tbh, i would prefer if the game promoted in-game mechanics rather than 3rd party.
There are lots of different stuff we can do with something as simple as an in-game word document. What do you all think?

It is a good idea to have notes rather than attempt to rely on memory alone. However, since this adds complexity to the game programming, I would just as soon not have it so that we can get the game a little sooner.
I kind of visualise onenote as the ideal option. A searchable "book" with titles for pages, and then the contents, and that's it.
The likelihood is that people will continue to use physical books/docs on the computer if it's the only option but I can see an in-game notebook having its merit. And it does at least seem like a far less complicated requests than others have suggested.
The character page will be accessible in game by opening a browser through the UI.[3]
That's part of the character sheet desire for us which hopefully will be accessible in game as well by opening a browser through our UI where you can get back history of a character that that character has input themselves into journal entries that they may choose to share with others... For role play perspective we want people to be in depth with their characters.[3] – Steven Sharif
- I can design things exactly as I want, both topics and subcategories
- I don't have to manipulate the screen to refer to the notes. For example, I can quickly glance at the page with my guild's KoS list in the notebook by my keyboard as I continue to sneak up behind a character - rather than having to stop and tab into the online notebook
- I don't have to be online to use my notebooks. I can use them at work during a meeting, on a plane, a train or a bus
- I can use arrows, Interpage references of my own design, footnotes, symbols of my own making which I am familiar with
- and Etc. ad infinitum
