Node events

Was pondering the latest thread about missing out on stuff. We know from the Nodes 1 video that it is possible that as nodes level up world events can happen like summoning a dragon that the players then have to respond to.
The question being how often this should/could happen? How big should the events be? What sort of events would we as the community like to see?
Maybe as a node goes from 3-4 and the local attached dungeon opens a new wing a zombie horde streams forth into the world say maybe 10,000 or so over a couple hours. Zombies of various levels get released and reek havoc requiring the locals to band together to quell the horde.
Maybe a locust swarm could spawn and move across the zone consuming everything gatherable including mobs and the more they consume the bigger the swarm gets. Moving across the node and when they hit the edge the change direction like pong and continue on again forcing the locals the respond. If nobody rises to the challenge they swarm might consume stuff till it becomes a raid level event world boss included.
I would like to see some creative stuff done here from IS. Perhaps basing it off of node level as far as how many people are needed to fend off the attack. The higher the node the more people are needed to fight back. Perhaps going from 5-6 might spawn multiple world bosses in the ZOI.
