Hey RPers!
I've never joined an RP server before. I do play a lot of D&D, so I'm familiar with RPing. I'm 31 now & my days of "no-lifing" an MMO are behind me. I'm typically very competitive, skip all the dialogue, and rush my way to the end, but I'm starting to think I should switch over to just "enjoying" a game. I'm wondering if an RP server would be for me. Is it more casual or just...competitive in a different way? Do I have to "speak in character" all the time or be shunned?

But usually the rp servers on most game have a wide range of players from casual players to the more competitive side. It depends on the group you associate with and what your own personal goals are. Some groups want you to be "in character" all the time while others take a more laid back approach.
Usually the best way to get involved is finding a friendly PVX RP guild that will offer a wide array of things for you to participate in.
