Idea for how to make items

I thought of a way to make crafting items more rewarding and challenger. We will still have de auto production mode, to make everything fast, but i like the idea to put the option to make manual,how for example pressing a sequence of buttons for some time.
making manual you will gain more xp and a better chance to make item with a high grade.
