Trapped in a well?

Suppose it were possible for a character to fall into a deep well, or otherwise get into some place you could not escape from by yourself.
Is it possible to kill yourself so you respawn at your spawn point?
Could you log out, and log back in to your spawn point?
Is there any other way you could transport away under your own power?
If not, would it be possible to hold a character in such a place against their will, as a prisoner?
Asking for a friend.

Highly unlikely there will be a suicide feature you can use to port to spawn point. If you fall into a hole that you can't get out of, you might be able to /stuck and respawn nearby.
Steven does not want people to be able to use suicide as a form of fast travel.
Steven also does not want it to be possible to hold another player against their will.
Basically, lets say you are stuck. You can use a spell to spawn at this point and this spell will have a cooldown of an hour or more so that it is not abusable for fast travel as you never know when you might need it. One issue with this is that this point can be camped by corrupted players, but AoC is owPvP so its ok I suppose as the chances of spawning at a camped point would be quite low.
A massive cooldown is also a safeguard.
Being "stuck in a well" is a bug. There is no game designer who will intentionally create a feature that traps a character. It happens, in my experience it is usually when a tree or rock or other irregular piece of the landscape is placed in such a way that collision detection traps you between it and a wall or sharp slope when you fall in just the wrong spot.
MMORPGs going back as far as I remember have always had ways to deal with that. Heck, in EverQuest we had a /rewind command to get out of being stuck. There should be no need for a '"suicide" option.
