For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Taverns and PvP

Will taverns be pvp free zones? If so, will corrupted players not be able to enter them?

Wait so are they PvP-free or not? PvP free would mean no PvP, as it's free from it. If so, no elite guard or kicking people out necessary.

The first poster you quoted was discussing facts in relation to how we understand Intrepids current design.
The second post you quoted was discussing something they thought would be cool, but is not a part of what we know of the current game design.
Ahhh, that makes more sense now. Was about to say, if you ban known PKers from taverns I guess we wouldn't be drinking together any time soon lol. On the other hand, if guards are allowed I'd be more than willing to help with RP player events and keep watch.

I like where this is going. Maybe to even have the encounter initiate you are required to have had a certain amount of beverages and food first. Depending on what you ate and drank determines the power and strength of your vomit ability

Well - it has been stated that Freeholds that are Taverns are safe zones.
NPC Taverns that are created as part of Node progression probably won't be safe zones.

I think this is a great idea!! and I would like to suggest that the brawl be drunken, screen blur, laggy controls, or something like that.
If yes, they should be able to PvP... with de-buffs. Except dwarfs.

If we can't PvP inside a Freehold, and we're not getting Kick/Ban functions because of PvP, which will work here?
I think I agree with you though... clearly owning a tavern will have many benefits, but those benefits also transfer to patrons by virtue of having a place for them to go, and it would make sense not to allow a rival guild to post up in your tavern and yoink all the quests or yoink all of the shop contents.
