Music of AOC

Hello everyone,

Wanted to clarify with fans and team on music being used in AOC. Is it dominated by piano? How is the game music in the game during alpha? Anyone want to share their thoughts?

I remember my days back in Lineage II and Giran, Gludio and other city music was basically all flute and it was magical. Will we get some nice flute tunes in AOC too? For, you know, grinding a little bit on L2 veteran players nostalgia.

    I think it's likely there will be some variety - as for what to expect? I am hoping some orchestral if it's within budget! Love it. But as @Dygz said (who i keep having to quote!) - Bear McCreary is a well known and highly rated composer so we can expect an awesome soundtrack. Check out his work and you can get an idea of the type of music he makes - he has a channel on youtube.

    Great News! Bear McCreary is a great compositor and music should not disappoint us.

    Although I wonder if there will be different music tracks assigned to different nodes, as when the node progress to the town level music will change once you enter through he city gates.
    It would be really cool to allow node mayors to choose the song they want to play in their towns. Maybe even lock these tunes to prevent it from being reused on another node. This would create unique atmosphere in each advanced node.
